刹那即永恒 – One Minute is Eternal ~ Book Presentation The One Minutes
Last Tuesday night Jan. 28th 2020, the publication ‘刹那即永恒 – One Minute is Eternal’ was presented by The One Minutes Foundation director Julia van Mourik at ROZENSTRAAT – a rose is a rose is a rose in Amsterdam (NL).

The book presents an eclectic range of propositions with over 500 video stills on how we think through the medium of moving image, and a preface by Wei Shaonong, Dean School of Design, East China Normal University.

“For The One Minutes, a minute is not a conceptual limitation of time, but the beginning of a new world, starting from a minute to discover and explore the infinite possibilities of video art, life and world.” — Wei Shaonong

Ashes Pond
An unforgettable moment for me that ‘touching the ash pond’ I filmed in the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp, were I was filming Simon Gronowski and Koenraad Tinel, May 2012, for the upcoming documentary film Miracles.
Into this pond were dumped the ashes of the people, who were murdered (gassed) and burned at the nearby crematorium.
Sharing this moment today for International Holocaust Remembrance Day 2020 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz camps. Courtesy of the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum in Oświęcim, Poland. Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau Camp in Poland, May 24th 2012.
