Skoda


① memo 20171031 ~ Skoda ~ Beachcomber Hille van Dieren together with other local volunteer “war-archeologists” ‘exhumed’ this wreckage of a 1936 Skoda car at the former Luftwaffe Radar site “TIGER Stellung” on the Wadden Isle Terschelling. This Skoda 420P cabriolet was owned by the Frisean Roelof Beetsma , when in 1943-’44, the Germans requisitioned his car for use by the Luftwaffe personnel and staff of the ‘TIGER Stellung’. Filmed last month – with volunteer guide Peter de Jong telling this story in dutch – in one of the bunkers of the Tiger Bunkermuseum Terschelling ( http://bunkersterschelling.nl ) , Netherlands.
