You cannot really translate poetry.
The crux here, is that one dutch word ‘lellebellen’ … and, the crux I cannot translate.
‘Lellebellen’ is dutch plural of the word ‘lellebel’ which generally denotes an indecent or sloppy woman – with a light-hearted connotation.
The earring is called ‘oorbel’ in dutch (which literally translates to earbell), and the earlobe is ‘oorlel’ or short ‘lel’ in dutch.
Thus ‘Lellebel’ is perfect old-style dutch grammar for ‘lelbel’ (modern style grammar is lellenbel), and a funny association : reading ‘lellebel’ as ‘oorbel’ – earring.
Another association I personally also have, is with the french words l’elle belle … ‘pretty she’ – that’s how the film title came about .. LelleBelle

“I live in Paris. On January 7, 2015, the evening of the Charlie Hebdo attack, I was deeply shaken. I came up with the project One Minute of Dance Every Day to manifest a sensitive and poetic presence in the world and connect heterogeneous intensities by putting myself into play, alone or in relation to others. I wanted to assign myself a daily action, small but concrete and reiterated, coherent with my beliefs and working towards a living poetry, while at the same time creating a distinct, discrete work of art (the reason I number my dances).

Danse 2000 ~ One Minute of Dance a Day

Dancing July 5th, starting 11h11 – all together via internet with ZOOM for the 2000th daily dance with the french performance artist Nadia Vadori-Gauthier ( @uneminutededanseparjour #oneminuteofdanceaday ) as part of Nadia’s project ‘One Minute of Dance a Day’ .
Following the Charlie Hebdo attack on January 7, 2015 Nadia Vadori-Gauthier established her project ‘Une minute de danse par jour’ and has been dancing daily ever since january 14, 2015 for a minute or a little more. A daily act of poetic resistance, involving dance and video.
For her 2000th dance she organised this extraordinary event ‘2000 danses pour la danse 2000’ together with Chaillot – Théâtre national de la Danse.
