Sony ZV-1 versus iPhone 12 Pro quick color matching and colorgrading test with new tools in a FCP 10.6.6 wide gamut library with a Rec 2020 HLG project setting for this Sony ZV-1 footage 1080p 50 fps shot with PP10 profile with Hybrid Log-Gamma HLG2 (orignal dark dull footage, underexposed in 2022 before I understood zero exposure correction is best for the ZV-1 HLG setting) compared with iPhone 12 Pro Max 4K 60 fps HDR (underexposure -0.3 as always). Sony is used in HD mode because the screen is to dark to watch in sunlight in 4K mode. No color grading for iPhone footage. Color grading ZV-1 now using the Apple FCP Color Conform Tool – Manual Mode : PQ to HLG with Peak brightness 177. Adjustment of Black Point (midtones) and shadows Neat Video noise reduction for ZV-1 footage. Exported as HEVC Dolby Vision (Version 1.0, dvhe.08.12, BL+RPU, HLG compatible) 70 Mb/s HLG BT.2020 . White Balance Apple Camera App • @1MEMO 20201011

Getting the right colors in the Apple iPhone camera app for this magic mushroom (Hypholoma fasciculare) during a cloudy the afternoon today.
Shifting a white card partly in the image automatically corrects the Auto White Balance in the Apple camera app on the iPhone.
Note also , that locking the AE/AF (autoexposure and autofocus) also locks the auto white balance (AWB) – this locking of the AWB is not shown in this demo video.

Tripod on Trail

Tripod on Trail ~ Green Heart polders in Holland. Some trembling of the iPhone in the strong wind gusts.
Using a larger (carbon) tripod with the Manfrotto TwistGrip universal smartphone clamp (foldable, thus not very rigid) seems worse in the wind compared to my default iPhone tripod, the little Joby GripTight One GorillaPod Stand. The problem is that Manfrotto smartphone clamp. No stabilization in post (FCPX) used, because that makes shaking worse. By the way it did stand close to the iPhone X to shield it from the wind. Røde smartlav plus fuzzy windscreen just around the zipper inside my half-opened jacket. That little Joby GorillaPod is generally used eiher on the ground (were wind is less) or handheld close to the body standing , or else when sitting pushed on a knee.
